From this list, I can take away the following. Focus on creating classic looks with special pieces. If you're going to focus on shoes or jewelry, then really highlight that aspect and keep the rest things that can transition from season to season. Keep an eye out for vintage designer labels (I found a fabu Vuitton clutch at a church thrift store for ten bucks) or look to ebay for items - if you know your size in a particular designer or if you go for accessories you should get a good bang for your buck. Big vintage sunglasses, bold jewelry, and sassy accents will spice up any outfit. If you are going to splurge, go for a quality item that is classic but unique so that it will be something that you are pleased with for years to come.
