Trend Watch: Ripped Pencil Jeans

Leave it to the lovely Victoria Beckham to bring back the ripped pencil leg jeans of the early nineties. Important note, they are NOT skinny jeans...they are not sausage casings around your legs. The fit should be slim but not constricting...clean straight lines. The rips add a little edge to a class look and I like them best when paired with heels. Because there is a hint of freak on the bottom, it is best if the rest of the outfit is conservative (we wouldn't want to end up looking homeless) with either chunky jewelry or a big bag. Here it is done well (side note: I think they can be worn as a jean I just think that it would work for the under fourty crowd and the rest of the outfit must be pristine...a little old school glam rock Dolce & Gabbana vibe)
